Up front the palate shows all the characters of stewed plums. A subtle sweet note, a burst of fruit and a slight acid tartness. The trip to the patisserie continues as it lingers in the mid-palate with some mocha and coffee aromas filling the mouth and giving depth. The finish becomes more savoury. Oak, yeast, fresh tobacco and a touch of pepper all meld together to give a subtle balance, that is neither sweet, nor dry.
