Plum in colour, with a brightness that belies its bottle age
Plums and berries dominate the aroma. The fruity notes are balanced by slight jammy tones which have developed with the bottle ageing.
The front and mid palates are filled with stewed fruit and berry characters, plums and fresh cherries.
After the fruit subsides a soft oak finish gives a savoury complexion towards the finish. The palate lingers but is smooth and soft. The balance of fruit and savoury lasts right through to the end so the final impression is neither sweet nor dry.
Well suited to sipping alone, this will also match a variety of foods, from BBQ to Black Forest cake.
SERVING TEMPERATURE These sparkling wines are made to be served cold – less than 4 C. Store for 24 hours in a domestic fridge prior to opening or leave in wet ice for 2-3 hours.
