Deep plum red in colour. The aroma blends fruit and savoury notes. Tobacco and cigars give way to dark chocolate & stewed plums.
Despite the generous dosage the palate is still dominated by the more savoury notes. Cigar box and a leathery mid palate mix with some chocolate. plum, and prune rich fruit characters. The flavor lingers in your mouth and the firm tannins of Malbec are softened with the long bottle ageing. As the wine finishes the combination of all the elements blends to give a full bodied but mellow finale.
A full flavoured sparkling red wine suits full flavoured food. Try is with some BBQ fare, particularly big cuts of meat. Beef rump, Lamb shoulder, Pork ribs.
SERVING TEMPERATURE These sparkling wines are made to be served cold – less than 4 C. Store for 24 hours in a domestic fridge prior to opening or leave in wet ice for 2-3 hours.
