The aroma has both a hint of berries and toasty bread characters. This wine is made from the traditional sparkling wine varieties of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Bottle aged for 6 years this wine is rich with complex toasty characters from the extended contact with the yeast lees. The mid palate has texture and depth, predominantly from the creamy yeast characters. The finish is clean and crisp and has touch of citrus and berries which belie its age. The flavours persist long after your last sip.
Light to medium intensity seafood and white meat dishes. Perfect to accompany smoked salmon or pate.
SERVING TEMPERATURE These sparkling wines are made to be served cold – less than 4 C. Store for 24 hours in a domestic fridge prior to opening or leave in wet ice for 2-3 hours.
