Pale straw in colour with a fine bead.
The initial lift is of citrus tones but as it warms the spicy notes come through. Aromas of baked apples with cinnamon & rhubarb crumble.
This Verdelho was picked early to retain a crisp acidity and clean citrus aromas. The sugar dosage blends with tropical fruit characters to fill the mid palate. There is a hint of spiciness associated with Verdelho which contributes to its big full flavour.
Whilst a big full wine, the lingering bubbles and clean acid gives a clean and crisp finish to the wine.
This is a great match for spicy food. Good with Asian curries, or stir fries. Would go really well with Green Curry or Massaman to cut through the coconut milk sauce.
SERVING TEMPERATURE These sparkling wines are made to be served cold – less than 4 C. Store for 24 hours in a domestic fridge prior to opening or leave in wet ice for 2-3 hours.
