An exciting interpretation of fortified wine.
Deep dark and rich in colour, with hues of magenta and cerise
The aromas are of overtly ripe jammy fruits; plum and black fruits; with hints of pepper and spice.
The flavours of ripe raspberry and boysenberry up front are luscious, rich, generous and sweet. This is black forest cake and plum pudding squeezed into bottle. Despite the fruity sweetness the finish is far from cloying. Some tannins and acid balance the aftertaste.
Serve very cold – move from the fridge into the freezer an hour prior to serving. Enjoy with chocolate mud cake, dark chocolate tart, or even a spicy Vindaloo.
SERVING TEMPERATURE These sparkling wines are made to be served cold – less than 4 C. Store for 24 hours in a domestic fridge prior to opening or leave in wet ice for 2-3 hours.
